“The museum consists of two parts. First there is the Museum itself, which opened in the summer of 2000. It displays many of the artifacts from the Islands mining past. On the walls the history is told in pictures. Of particular note is the display of work by renown photographer Yousuf Karsh. The second part involves a walking tour of the underground shafts. Here you will experience what it was like to work underground”
